I hope you’ve had a restful summer and that you are ready for this new academic year.
Over the course of the summer, we have repeatedly said that September is coming, well September is here!

The month of September is dedicated to giving, and in teaching ‘Surround Sound’, I aim to challenge the way you see giving and encourage you to embrace giving as a lifestyle.

2 Corinthians 9:7 says:

‘Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver’.

We aren’t just talking money here, as giving of yourself requires no financial sacrifice, just a simple love for people.

Paul also reminds us of the seed, time, harvest principle when he tells the Corinthians:

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. (2 Corinthians 9:6)

Your enthusiasm stirs others into action and that can be the gift of freedom to people who you don’t even know are watching.

I’m sure we are all excited to see what God has planned for us this coming year; bearing in mind the progress we’ve made this far. if we embrace the ideas explored this September, the only way is up!

Whats Happening?

Tomorrow Sunday 6th September marks our official return back to school and also commences our official fundraising drive to improve our facilities and delivery.
We will be kicking off with a celebration service featuring our Community Gospel Choir

This will lead into our Annual Partnership evening at the Crib on October 1st @7pm

The partnership evening is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the history of BCLC, our vision, values, as well as knowing more about how we express Kingdom ‘House Rules’

On October 4th we will be having our very first Vision Offering Sunday.
To date with the efforts of the Gospel Choir, and the Charity Cycle ride by Mark and Lorraine, we have raised just over the £3000 on route to our target of £50,000.

As it is our objective to be a centre of Excellence we will all have to be part of becoming EXCELLENT! and I hope that  the opportunity to plan for October 4th will enable you to invest in our corporate future and  give our fundraising efforts a massive boost.

We are excited to announce…

Following on from the successful launch of our new Facebook Page, I am pleased to announce that today we have launched our new website.
Please stay tuned and make sure that you use our website as your resource for everything that is BCLC!

As always I thank you for your unceasing commitment to Bethlehem Church Life Centre, and the wider community that you serve, and remember that what you put in, is what you get out.
